Fold the napkins and place them in the middle of each diner's plate. It's a good idea to have cloth napkins that matches with the table cloth.

Setting Dinner plates
Begin table setting by setting out dinner plates. Plates should be far enough apart to grant the guests adequate elbow room. Plates should be about 2 feet apart from one plate center to others plate center.

Glasses on the right side
Once plates are set on the table, balance the rest of your table settings placement. Glasses go on the right side of the diner plate, butter and salad plates to the left side.
Arrange the glasses in the manner they are supposed to be used. They should be placed above the knives in a straight line.

Placement of knives, forks and spoons
Now place the knives and spoons on the right side of the dinner plate to set a table properly.
While setting the table, keep in mind that the table manner demands the sharp part, the cutting edge of the knife is pointing toward the inside of the dinner plate. Make sure that the knives should be nearer to the dinner plate, with the spoons on the far right.

Place the forks to the left of the plate, knives and spoons to the right side.

A water goblet should be placed about 2 inches above the knife.
